We are based in the New York City metropolitan (haha, get it?) area.
This means that it is running off of a municipal Police Department.
Rank structure goes as follows:

Commissioner (Elected position)

Assistant Commissioner (Generally chosen by Commissioner)

Colonel

Major

Captain

Lieutenant

Sergeant

Corporal

Police Officer

Probationary Officer
I additionally use Staff Sergeant only because it's a useful extra rank and would still more or less make sense (it's generally a state police thing but some municipals use it).
